Tributes to Major General SANJ Ariyasena Senior Officer who is retiring after completing 33 years of illustrious Army career

Officers of Corps of Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers bid a farewell to Major General SANJ Ariyasena the Dte of EME on 08 Sep 2024 with the presence of the Colonel Commandant in company with number of senior Officers, Officers and their wives.

On the last day of his service, in conformity with military traditions, Major General SANJ Ariyasena was warmly welcomed by the Centre Commandant, Colonel DA Sirimannage and offered a Guard Turn out on his arrival at the venue. Then, he was invited to receive the salute in the Guard of Honour. Afterwards, he met the DCOS and Col Comdt of Corps of Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, Major General S P A I M B Samarakoon hdmc Lsc. All Officers took part in tea party at the Officers’ mess - RHQ SLEME.

In The evening, a banquet was held for the outgoing Major General SANJ Ariyasena, at the RHQ Officer’s mess. The Center Commandant Colonel DA Sirimannage, appreciated His service rendered to the Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers and to the Sri Lanka Army.

Out going Major General SANJ Ariyasena was presented with commemorative Memento by The DCOS and Col Comdt of Corps of Sri lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, Major General S P A I M B Samarakoon hdmc Lsc, and all the officers.
