TRIBUTES TO MAJOR GENERAL SPAIMB SAMARAKOON HDMC LSC SENIOR OFFICER WHO IS RETIRING AFTER COMPLETING 37 YEARS OF ILLUSTRIOUS ARMY CAREER

Officers of corps of Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers bid a farewell to Major General SPAIMB Samarakoon Hdmc Lsc the Deputy Chief of Staff and the Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers on 28 November 2024.

On the last day of his service, in conformity with military traditions, Major General SPAIMB Samarakoon Hdmc Lsc was warmly welcomed by the Centre Commandant, Brigadier DA Sirimannage and offered a Guard Turn out on his arrival at the venue. Then, he was invited to received the salute in the Guard of Honour. Afterwords, all officers took part in tea party at the Offficers’ mess – Regimental Centre SLEME.

In the evening, a banquet was held for the outgoing Major General SPAIMB Samarakoon Hdmc Lsc, at the RHQ Officers’ mess. The Centre Commandant Brigadier DA Sirimannage, appreciated his service rendered to the Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers and for Sri Lanka Army.

Out going Major General SPAIMB Samarakoon Hdmc Lsc was presented with commemorative memento by the Centre Commandant, Brigadier DA Sirimannage and all the officers.

Number of senior officers, officers and there wives participated in the Farewell mess night of Major General SPAIMB Samarakoon Hdmc Lsc.
