The corps of Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers bid a heartfelt felicitation and farewell ceremony to Major General P Vithanage to mark the recent promotion to the rank of Major General and Retirement from the military service on 07 March 2025 in recognition of his illustrious military career in the Sri Lanka Army.
Major General P Vithanage was accorded a ceremonial Guard Turnout at the Main Entrance and continuing with military tradition he took the salute at the Guard of Honour a symbolic gesture recognizing his remarkable achievements and dedication to the military service.
The evening culminated in a farewell Dinner Night hosted in honour of the retiring senior officer. The event was graced by a large assembly of senior officers, officers and their spouses.
