NEWLY APPOINTED COLONEL COMMANDANT OF SRI LANKA ELECTRICAL AND MECHANICAL ENGINEERS ASSUMES OFFICE

Maj General C Kalutharaarachchi, The Director General Electrical and Mechanical Engineering assumed duties as the 12^th Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers on 05 June 2025, at the Regimental Centre, Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers.

The incoming Colonel Commandant was warmly welcomed by the Centre Commandant and accorded a Guard Turnout, followed by a Guard of Honour.

Thereafter, the Colonel Commandant officially assumed his new responsibilities amidst religious observances, in the presence of Senior Officers and placed the signature in a formal document symbolizing the assumption of duties as the Colonel Commandant. Later new Colonel Commandant addressed the troops and senior officers, officers and other ranks attended the event.
