The Deputy Chief of Staff of Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Light Infantry made his formal visit to the Sri Lanka Army Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Factory at Kosgama on 22 February 2022. The day's itinerary was began with a warm welcome by Maj Gen WMRWWHJB Wanigasekera USP, the Master General Ordnance, Maj Gen SPAIMB Samarakoon Hdmc Lsc, the Commander Logistics Command and the Colonel Commandant - SLEME, Maj Gen DP Hathurusingha USP, the Director Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, Brig SA Pathirana RSP, the Centre Commandant - SLEME, together with Col KMJNRK Chandrasekara Commandant - SLAEMEF. The Chief Guest was greeted by a Drive Pass at the main entrance to the factory and a tree planting was arranged to symbolize and mark his visit, before he addressed the troops. The DCOS was received with a formal briefing by the Commandant SLAEMEF on its functions and operational aspect before he made a field visit in to the depth of the factory. At each section In charges of the sections briefed the Chief Guest on functions and technological aspects of each section. He also extended his sincere gratitude to Colonel Commandant and all ranks for contributions and progress of factory achieved within short span of time since its establishment. The day's proceedings were terminated by placing his remarks on the visitors’ book before his departure.
