Assumes of Duties by the Commanding Officer of the 7th Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers

On 12th June 2025, Major S.A.J. Chandrarathna Lsc, SLEME (O/68282), officially assumed duties as the Commanding Officer of the 7th Battalion of the Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers.

The ceremonial proceedings commenced with a Guard of Honour, held in recognition and respect of the senior officer's new appointment. As a symbolic gesture of remembrance and lasting legacy, a tree planting ceremony followed.

The sequence of events concluded with an official tea gathering, providing an opportunity for all members of the Corps to extend their sincere best wishes to the newly appointed Commanding Officer for his future responsibilities and success.
