The Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps, together with the President of the Seva Vanitha Branch, Mrs. Nayomani De Silva, the Centre Commandant, and senior members of the Seva Vanitha Branch , paid a compassionate visit to the Sarvodaya Suwasetha on 3rd January 2026
During the visit, essential supplies were donated to 40 children under the age of five. The donations included nutritious food items, health and hygiene essentials, and other daily necessities sufficient for a period of two weeks. This thoughtful initiative aimed to support the physical and emotional well-being of the children in care
In addition to the donation, a Shramadana campaign was conducted by the soldiers of the Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps (SLAGSC). The programme included cleaning the premises, clearing overgrown vegetation, and enhancing the overall environment of the centre, making it cleaner, safer, and more pleasant for both the children and the staff
