The Seva Vanitha Branch of the Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps (SLAGSC) proudly organized a heartfelt book donation program on 2 March 2025. The event aimed to benefit 112 needy children of different ages attending Waligalla Sri Thusitha Dhamma school Kandy.
This initiative was designed to support the educational needs of the young students, ensuring they have access to the essential resources required for their learning journey. The Seva Vanitha Branch generously donated books that will aid in enhancing the children's education and intellectual growth. In addition to the books, the children were also provided with school bags ,lunch boxes, water bottles , slippers,pens, pencils and refreshments, ensuring they had a fulfilling and enjoyable day.The event was graced by the DGFM and the Colonel Comandant of Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps Maj Gen AMKGPSK Abeysinghe and the president of Seva Vanitha branch of SLAGSC Mrs.Thushari Abeysinghe. Senior Officers ,Commanding Officers and Seva Vanitha members also attended the occasion.
The program was an embodiment of the SLAGSC's commitment to giving back to the community and fostering the development of future generations.
The Seva Vanitha Branch continues to make a positive difference in the lives of those in need, furthering the mission of supporting both educational and social welfare within the community.
