Under the guidance of the President of the Seva Vanitha Branch, SLAGSC, a special Children's Activity Day was organized on 26 October at the APTS Gymnasium in Panagoda, in celebration of World Children's Day. The event was graced by the DGFM and the Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps, Major General AMKGPSK Abeysinghe, and Mrs. Thushari Abeysinghe, President of the Seva Vanitha Branch, as the chief guests
The event hosted 100 children of serving officers, non-commissioned officers, and civil servants of the Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps. Its goal was to provide the children with hands-on experience in teamwork and collaboration. The day also featured an entertainment session for the kids. Each child received a special t-shirt and a colorful smart watch, along with refreshments during the activities.
The program concluded successfully by Mr RM Rohan Rathnayaka, a Lecture SLF Exercise and sports Science with a special lunch for the children and their parents. The support of the Centre Commandant, RHQ SLAGSC, and the four battalions of the Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps contributed to the event's success, leaving the participants with lasting memories of a joyful and enriching day.
