The Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps Seva Vanitha Branch, has distributed 500 lunch packs and water bottles, 500 dry ration packs with essential items and sanitary items to 500 families dispersed by recent floods on 30th November 2025. This initiative aims to provide essential support to those affected, ensuring they have access to food and clean drinking water.
The distribution was guided by the Colonel Commandant of SLAGSC and the President of SLAGSC Seva Vanitha Branch Mrs. Nayomani De Silva, the Centre Commandant of SLAGSC and Senior members of the SLAGSC Seva Vanitha Branch. At the same time, a major support received from the Commanding Officer of 1 SLAGSC. The event is part of the Seva Vanitha Branch ongoing efforts to support army personnel and their dispersed families in Kollonnawa, Angoda and Mulleriyawa area during times of need. Furthermore, at the request of doctors at those evacuation centers, transportation assistance was provided to evacuate patients to IDH Hospital, ensuring access to treatment for patients.
