In an inspiring show of compassion and solidarity, the Seva Vanitha Branch of the Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps (SLAGSC) on 11 Feb 2025 organized a heartfelt hospital visit to the Mihindu Seth Madura Ranaviru Hospital in Attidiya. This gesture was part of their ongoing efforts to support and uplift the lives of brave soldiers who have been disabled in the line of duty during the war.
The event was marked by a beautiful musical program, offering a moment of joy and comfort to the patients who have sacrificed so much for the nation. The sound of soothing melodies resonated throughout the hospital, providing the soldiers with much-needed emotional support and entertainment.
For this event DGFM and the Col Commandant Maj Gen AMKGPSK Abeysinghe , President of Seva Vanitha Branch Mrs. Thushari Abeysinghe, Director pay & records Brig MKS De Silva, Director Army Benevolent fund and Centre Commandant Col TGN De Silva and senior members of the Seva Vanitha Branch graced the function as guests. During the visit President and the senior members of the Seva Vanitha Branch also took the opportunity to personally present health care aids packs and fruits to the patients and gave a generous donation to the hospital. These thoughtful gestures were met with smiles and heartfelt gratitude, as the members showed their deep appreciation for the sacrifices these heroes have made and there was a grand tea arranged for them.
The event served as a reminder of the immense courage and resilience displayed by these soldiers who have been injured while defending the country.Overall, the hospital visit was a resounding success, thanks to the efforts of the Seva Vanitha Branch SLAGSC, in collaboration with the commanding Officer 3 SLAGSC(P&R) , Maj MPI Amarasena psc Lsc SLAGSC and the staff.
