With the kind approval of the President of the Main Seva Vanitha Unit, a much-needed sanitary facility was successfully constructed for Mr. Hasitha Udana, a dedicated civilian labourer serving at the Officers’ Mess, RHQ SLAGSC, who is currently undergoing treatment for cancer.
The project was officially inaugurated on 1st of August at his residence, under the gracious presence of Mrs. Thushari Abeysingha, President of the Seva Vanitha Branch SLAGSC, Vice President Mrs. Nayomi De Silva, Senior Member Mrs. Ovitigala, Secretary Mrs. Disna Kodithuwakku, and several other senior members.
A donation worth Rs. 250,000 was utilized for the construction, which included all necessary building materials, roofing sheets, tiles, doors, sand, stones, and a complete sanitary system.
