Under the supervision and guidance of Mrs. Thushari Abeysinghe the president of Seva Vanitha Branch SLAGSC, the Annual General Meeting was held at the Regimental headquarters lecture hall on 10 August 2024 with the presence of Seniors members, Lady offers, and spouse's of other rankers.
In line with the agenda, a flashback of the welfare activities of the previous year was presented. A dance by Maj Veronica Dasanayake, an expert in kathak dancing as well as the current officer in charge of the army dancing team, performed a beautiful kathak dance adding glamour to the event.
Thereafter, a lecture was conducted by Mrs. Rukmani Rathnayake, a snr member of the Seva Vanitha Branch SLAGSC and the winner of the" best diversity champion in the year 2023" award at the top 50 global professional career women awards.
The secretary of SVB SLAGSC Mrs. Chathurika Ovitigala read the previous minutes and then the budget report was presented. Upcoming events were suggested at the AGM by the members. The thanking speech was delivered by Mrs Nayomi De Silva the previous Secretary. The event proceedings were concluded with a lunch
