The Gemunu Watch Seva Vanitha Branch (GW-SVB) conducted a Christmas Day programme for the children of Convent of the Child Jesus, Ratnapura, on 14 December 2025, under the guidance of Mrs. Shihani Abeywardhana, Chairperson of GW-SVB.
During the event, Rev. Father Herald Thamel delivered an inspiring and meaningful address, followed by Christmas carol performances sung by the children, along with colourful dance items.
Adding to the spirit of the occasion, the Gemunu Watch Music Band performed popular Christmas carols. In addition, shoes and school water bottles were distributed to 67 children.
Members of GW-SVB, senior officers, the Commissioner and the Deputy Commissioner of the Department of Probation and Child Care Services, and other ranks participated in the event.
