The Sri Lanka Armoured Corps Seva Vanitha Branch (SLAC – SVB) extended support to families affected by recent natural disasters. On 02 December 2025, a fully functional water purification system, donated by a group led by Mr. Keerthi Bandara, was installed at the Mahawela Community Centre, serving landslide affected residents of Ambathale Village. On the same day, essential school supplies were provided to children of a Non-Commissioned Officer affected by flooding in Redeegama area, ensuring continuity in their education.
This event was conducted under the guidance of Mrs. Sumangali Pathiravithana, Chairperson of SLAC – SVB and coordinated by Mrs. Gayathri Waduge.
Continuing its annual programmes, on 06 December 2025, SLAC – SVB conducted a books & stationery donation programme, benefiting children of SLAC personnel, including 23 from the 1st Recce Regiment and 11 from other units. Dry ration packs were also distributed to civilian staff at 1 SLAC.
