GW – SVB Provides Immediate Support to Personnel Impacted by Adverse Weather

The Gemunu Watch Seva Vanitha Branch (GW – SVB) launched an urgent relief initiative to support 6 officers and 236 other ranks affected by the adverse weather condition. Mrs Shihani Abeywardhana, Chairperson of the GW – SVB, visited several affected areas to distribute dry ration packs and extend emotional support to the impacted families.

As part of the ongoing relief efforts, a dry ration distribution programme was conducted on 08 December 2025 at the Regimental Centre, the Gemunu Watch. Dry ration packs allocated for the affected officers and other ranks were symbolically handed over to the respective Commanding Officers by the Chairperson and the Colonel of the Regiment.
