Under the guidance of Dr (Mrs) Rasika Perera, President of the Ministry of Defence Seva Vanitha Unit, and the supervision of Mrs Swendrini Dissanayake, President of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU), a donation was conducted for the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children on 26 July 2025.
On this occasion, representing the ASVU, Colonel M.M.R Chandrasekara, Colonel Coord of ASVU donated three ICU beds, valued at Rs. 9 million, fulfilling a vital requirement of the hospital.
Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, officials from the Ministry of Defence and hospital staff participated in the event.
