Under the guidance and supervision of Mrs. Swendrini Dissanayake, the President of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU), the ASVU conducted chickpeas and jackfruit dansala on 12 and 13 May 2025 near the Vesak Zone at Army Headquarters.
Major General M.G.W.W.W.M.C.B Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, Chief of Staff of the Army, graced the occasion along with Mrs. Priyanga Wickramasinghe, Vice President of the ASVU.
In parallel, the ASVU, together with Fonterra Brands Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, conducted a milk tea dansala near the Commander’s official residence for devotees visiting the Vesak Zone at Bauddhaloka Mawatha, distributing over 10,000 servings. Additionally, another similar milk tea dansala was organised for devotees visiting the Gangaramaya Vesak Zone.
