GW-SVB Conducts Health Camp for War Heroes’ Families

The Gemunu Watch Seva Vanitha Branch (GW-SVB), in collaboration with the MOH, Haputale and General Hospital, Diyatalawa, conducted a health camp on 05 April 2025 at the 1st Battalion the Gemunu Watch, under the theme “Let’s Protect Her.” The initiative aimed to support the family members of Gemunu Watch war heroes.

Dr (Mrs) Dilrukshi Wimalarathne, Chairperson of the GW-SVB, graced the event as the Chief Guest. The camp offered vital health services, including screenings for breast and cervical cancer, Body Mass Index (BMI) checks and blood glucose testing. Medical professionals from MOH Haputale and the Army Base Hospital, Diyatalawa, also raised awareness on women’s health issues.
