ASVU President Inaugurates English Medium Classrooms at Viru Kekulu Preschool

Under the guidance of Mrs. Swendrini Dissanayake, President of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU), much-needed English medium classrooms were constructed by the troops and the inauguration ceremony was held at Viru Kekulu Preschool in Panagoda on 17 February 2025.

Upon arrival, the President of ASVU was warmly welcomed by the preschool children. Following the welcome, children were symbolically registered for the English medium class and later served snacks. Thereafter, she conducted an inspection of the preschool and daycare center, providing necessary instructions for the further improvement of the facilities. To mark the occasion, a commemorative note was placed.

Subsequently, the President visited the Panagoda beauty salon and a house at Romial Mawatha, Panagoda, which had been donated to ASVU for the construction of a holiday bungalow intended for war heroes and their families visiting from distant areas for various activities. During her visit, she provided necessary directives for the future enhancement of these facilities as well.

Mrs. Surangi Amarapala, senior member in charge of Panagoda Viru Kekulu Preschool, Colonel (Coord) of ASVU, teachers, and parents, attended the event.
