Sri Lanka Light Infantry Seva Vanitha Branch (SLLI-SVB), under the guidance of Mrs. Darshani Yahampath, the Chairperson of the SLLI-SVB, a programme was conducted to promote self-employment among soldiers and their families by encouraging banana cultivation on 30th January 2025 at the SLLI Regimental Centre.
During the programme, banana saplings were distributed among soldiers of the regiment. The initiative was carried out by the Plant Virus Identification Centre, Homagama.
Members of the GW-SVB, Officers, and Other Ranks participated in the event.
