The Mechanized Infantry Regiment Seva Vanitha Branch (MIR-SVB) conducted a Donation Programme for 105 school children of Army personnel and civil staff of the MIR on 28 December 2024 at the Regimental Centre of the MIR.
Major General W.M.S.C.K Wanasinghe RSP USP, General Officer Commanding of the 21 Infantry Division and the Colonel of the MIR, along with Mrs. Nilanthi Wanasinghe, Chairperson of the MIR-SVB, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
During the event, school accessories were distributed to the children. Additionally, sanitary items were donated to the child of a Senior Non-Commissioned Officer by the Chairperson of the MIR-SVB. The day’s proceedings concluded with the December monthly meeting of the MIR-SVB.
Members of the MIR-SVB, Council Members, Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, Civil Workers, and children participated in the programme.
