Under the guidance of Mrs. Thushari Abeysinghe, the Chairperson of the Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps Seva Vanitha Branch (SLAGSC-SVB), a special Children's Activity Day was organized on 26 October at the APTS Gymnasium in Panagoda, in celebration of World Children's Day.
The event was graced by Major General A.M.K.G.P.S.K Abeysinghe, the Director General Financial Management and the Colonel Commandant of the SLAGSC and Chairperson of the SLAGSC-SVB as the chief guests.
The event hosted 100 children of serving Officers, Non-commissioned Officers, and civil servants of the Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps. The event was held to provide the children with hands-on experience in teamwork. The event was held collaboratively with Mr. R.M Rohan Rathnayaka, a Lecture of Sri Lanka Foundation Exercise and sports Science.
The day also featured an entertainment session for the kids. Each child received a special T-shirt and a colourful smart watch, along with refreshments during the activities followed by a special lunch for the children and their parents.
Members of SLAGSC-SVB, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the programme.
