Under the guidance of Mrs. Nandani Samarakoon, Chairperson of the Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Seva Vanita Branch (SLEME-SVB), a welfare programme was conducted on 29 September 2024 at the 2(V) SLEME in Diyatalawa.
The event provided essential items to Army personnel, civil staff serving at 2(V) SLEME and REME as well as their children. Mrs. Shyama Hettige, Treasurer of SLEME-SVB, attended as the Chief Guest. The programme aimed to support Army personnel, civil staff, and their families facing economic hardships.
