The Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU) managed 'Viru Kekulu' pre-school in Diyatalawa had their Annual Sports Meet on 02 August 2024 at the 'Viru Kekulu' playground setting the stage for kids to showcase their talents under the theme ‘Mickey Mouse’.
Mrs. Swendrini Rodrigo, Chairperson of Sri Lanka Artillery Seva Vanitha Branch and ASVU senior member in-charge of Viru Kekulu preschool graced the occasion as the Chief Guest who was warmly welcomed by the kids on her arrival at the premises to witness the meet.
Kids showed their talents in various displays and games, inclusive of band displays, drill displays, balancing game, cake cane, shape game, cheese game, mouse game, etc and the parents of those kids also participated in special game fun-making events during the meet.
Towards the end, the Chief Guest gave away prizes to the kids before she shared refreshments interacting with kids and their parents. Prior to her departure, she penned some complimentary notes in the visitors' book.
Commander Security Forces - Central, Senior Officers, Officers, Senior Members of ASVU, Other Ranks and parents were present during the event.
