Under the guidance of Mrs. Prasadini Ranasinghe, Chairperson of the Military Intelligence Corps - Seva Vanitha Branch (MIC-SVB), a series of programs were held on 18 July 2024 at the MIC Regimental Centre in Karandeniya. The event was graced by Mrs. Janaki Liyanage, President of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU), as the chief guest.
One of the highlights was a blood donation campaign organized by the MIC Regimental Centre in collaboration with the National Blood Transfusion Service. Additionally, Mrs. Janaki Liyanage gave away awards to nine children of Officers and Other Ranks who excelled in an art exhibition themed "The Sinhala New Year Through My Eyes" celebrating their achievements and encouraging their talents.
Furthermore, 25 dry ration packs were distributed among soldiers and civil workers of MIC during the event. The program concluded with a keynote speech titled "Understanding, Satisfaction and Our Life," delivered by Mrs. Kumudu Karunarathne, a senior professor from the University of Colombo.
Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, civil employees and children participated in the occasion.
