Members of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps - Seva Vanitha Branch (SLSC-SVB) donated a walking frame to the spouse of a Signal war veteran on 28 March 2024 at the Colombo National Hospital.
The war veteran had served in the SLSC from 1974 to 1996, dedicating 22 years of service before retirement. Mrs. Shiyalatha Gunarathna, the veteran's wife, had been receiving medical care at the Accident and Orthopedic service for five days due to a domestic injury. Following surgery, she was advised to use a walking frame for mobility support.
Members of SLSC-SVB, along with several Senior Officers and Officers, visited the patient at the hospital and presented the much-needed walking frame to her.
