The Gemunu Watch - Seva Vanitha Branch (GW-SVB) recently conducted a welfare program on 24 February 2024 at the GW Regimental Centre, benefiting 170 school students from families of GW personnel.
During the event, 11 students symbolically received school accessory packs, followed by a delightful tea and lunch. Additionally, a son of a fallen War Hero, who served in 4 GW, was granted Rs. 50,000.00 as a bursary fund for his educational needs.
Mrs. Manori Welagedara, Chairperson of GW-SVB, led the coordination of the program, with support from Mr. Pragalitha Pushpakumara, Mrs. Priyanka Galappaththi, Mrs. Ganga Muthukumarana, Mrs. Thusitha Senadeera and Mrs. Udula Kasthuriarachchi, who generously funded the initiative.
Members of GW-SVB, Officers and several Other Ranks participated in the event.
