SLAGSC- SVB Donates Educational Supplies to 100 Children

Under the guidance of Dr. Himali Niyangoda, Chairperson of the Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps Seva Vanitha Branch (SLAGSC-SVB), a book donation programme was held on 19 February 2024 at the SLAGSC Regimental Centre. This event, generously sponsored by SLAGSC-SVB and the Accounts Officers of SLAGSC, marked a significant milestone in community outreach.

Mrs. Janaki Liyanage, President of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit, graced the occasion as the chief guest. The primary objective of the program was to furnish essential educational resources to 100 children of Officers, Other Ranks, and civil staff of the Regiment.

Each gift pack, valued at Rs. 15,000/=, encompassed a range of educational materials including books, stationery items, shoes, and school bags, ensuring that the recipients are equipped for academic success. Following the book donation ceremony, an entertainment event was organized to captivate the children in attendance.
