The Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps Seva Vanitha Branch (SLAWC-SVB) along with the Regimental Centre launched a special project on Children’s day for 154 students at Nahinna Junior School in Kalutara on Monday (2 October).
The event provided breakfast and lunch to those students and entertainment during the project by way of conducting several programmes, related to enhancement of leadership skills, co-existence and harmony in addition to the distribution gift packs among them.
The project was launched by the SLAWC-SVB following instructions given by Mrs. Shyamali Wijesekera, Chairperson, SLAWC-SVB and Colonel Commandant SLAWC, Major General U.D Wijesekera RWP RSP USP rcds psc who is also the Commander, Security Forces - West.
In addition, several packs of model question papers were also distributed among students sitting the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination 2023.
