SLAOC-SVB Sponsors Supply of School Aids to 338 Students of Army Families

The Sri Lanka Army Ordinance Corps - Seva Vanitha Branch (SLAOC-SVB) arranged a programme to distribute school accessories among 338 students of SLAOC Other Ranks and civil employees during its Annual General Meeting, held at the SLAOC Regimental Headquarters, Horana on Saturday (Feb 18).

The SVB welfare gesture was initiated by Mrs Banduni Ranawaka, Chairperson, SLAOC-SVB under the guidance of Mrs Janaki Liyanage, President, Army Seva Vanitha Unit.

During the event, students received stationery packs, each worth more than Rs. 1,500.00. Furthermore, a Senior Non-Commissioned Officer, affected badly due to economic hardships received Rs. 50,000.00 from the SLAOC-SVB after his plight with his children was brought to the notice of the Chairperson, SLAOC-SVB.

Mrs Banduni Ranawaka attended the event as the Chief Guest alongside Senior Officers, Officers, Senior SLAOC-SVB members, Other Ranks and beneficiaries with their families.
