On a conceptual suggestion of Mrs. Himali Pussella, Chairperson, Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps Seva Vanitha Branch (SLAGSC-SVB), a new yoghurt production project got to a start on Tuesday (15 August) at the SLAGSC Regimental centre, aimed at raising funds to welfare projects of the SLAGSC-SVB.
Major General D.M.K.D.B Pussella RWP RSP, Commander of the Security Forces-West and Colonel Commander of the SLAGSC graced the event as the Chief Guest. He unveiled a plaque and cut a ribbon before the new production facility commenced.
The chief guest closely inspected the new Yoghurt processing plant and at the same time Mrs. Himali Pussella handed over the responsibilities of the office of the chairperson to the incoming Seva Vanitha Chairperson, Mrs. Himali Niyangoda.
Senior members of SLAGSC - SVB, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the event.
