Mrs Himali Pussella, the Chairperson of the Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps - Seva Vanitha Branch (SLAGSC-SVB) along with several SVB members visited the Ranaviru Sevana rehabilitation centre in Ragama on Monday (07 Aug) with the objective of raising the mental stability and inquiring about the well-being of permanently-injured War Heroes under recuperation and rehabilitation.
During the visit, Mrs Pussella took time off to interact with resident War Heroes and inquired about their well-being. Adding memories to the day, she presented gift parcels to each of them as tokens of appreciation. At the same time, SLAGSC-SVB unit also organized a captivating entertainment programme for the veterans. vThe day’s Chief Guest was warmly welcomed by a wheelchair-borne War Hero, together with Brigadier S.C Ekanayake RSP, Director Rehabilitation and Brigadier W.D.M Kumarasinghe RSP, Commandant, Ranaviru Sevana, Ragama.
Prior to the visit, SLAGSC troops renovated the Ward No 1 of the Centre on the directions of Major General D.M.K.D.B Pussella RWP RSP, Colonel Commandant of SLAGSC and Commander, Security Forces - West. Before their departure, the Chairperson penned down some complimentary remarks in the Visitors' book.
