The Sri Lanka National Guard - Seva Vanitha Unit (SLNG-SVU) added its contribution to the commemoration of the International Women’s Day during arrangements made at Heraliyawela SLNG HQ on Saturday (12).
As part of the day’s programme, Dr Shayamali Amarasinghe and Dr Shashiroda Rathnayake, Medical Specialists of Non Communicable Diseases at Kurunegala MOH office delivered lectures to the day’s attendees, inclusive of Seva Vanitha members.
Afterwards, another lecture plus a workshop on hair styles and beauty culture got underway in order to educate those attending ladies. Mr Jayantha Kumara, a beauty culture expert conducted the lecture and the workshop.
The day’s arrangement organized by Mrs Janaki Liyanage, Chairperson, SLNG-SVU received the blessings of Major General Vikum Liyanage, Colonel of the Regiment, SLNG and Chief of Staff.
