The Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps - Seva Vanitha Branch (SLAWC-SVU) to coincide with the World’s Children’s Day offered a delicious lunch to the children at Loris Children’s Development Center at Sri Dhamma Mawatha, Colombo – 10 on 29 September 2022.
Mrs Apsara Dilhani Ranawaka, Chairperson, SLAWC-SVU and a team of Seva Vanitha ladies joined the offer of this delicious lunch to 24 children who are under the care of this orphaned children.
The Commanding Officer, 1 Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps, Major P.R.P.K Galhena and Other Ranks of the Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps attended the occasion. The event was followed by a variety show, staged by the children as well as by the Army calypso band. Snacks and refreshments were also served at the end of the variety event.
At the end of the programme, all the children received gift parcels from the Chairperson of the Seva Vanitha Branch.
