SLEME SVB Ladies Take Welfare Measures to Minneriya

The Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Seva Vanitha Branch (SLEME SVB) continuing its welfare projects towards members of the Regiment and civil staffers serving the SLEME launched one more relief project at 3 SLEME Regiment Hq and SLEME (Artillery) Hq in Minneriya on Saturday (27).

Mrs Nandani Samarakoon, Chairperson, SLEME SVB during the arrangement gave away financial grants to the value of Rs 2 lakhs for purchase of 50 pairs of school shoes for kids and students of SLEME families working in the 3 SLEME.

The recipients were selected through the coordination of respective unit commanders and recommendations of the Regimental Hq. The distribution ceremony was attended by Mrs Nandani Samarakoon, Chairperson, SLEME SVB, Major General Indu Samarakoon, Colonel Commandant, SLEME and Commander Army Logistics Command, SLEME’s SVB ladies and beneficiaries.
