The Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps Seva Vanitha Unit (SLAOC – SVU) donated a stock of essential school stationery and cosmetics to the 28 children at Galanigama 'Dharmachakra' Children's home on 13 June on account of the Poson Poya day. The SLAOC – SVU ladies and several soldiers decorated the orphanage with lanterns and other ornaments in order for those children to enjoy Poson spirits.
The management after a warm welcome thanked the ladies for their donation and thoughtfulness.
Mrs Deepika Chinthamani Weerathunga, Chairperson of SLAOC – SVU, Senior members of SLAOC – SVU, Officers and Other Rank participated in the event.
