SLSR-SVU Provides Incentives & Meals to Children with Special Skills

The Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment Seva Vanitha Unit (SLSR-SVU) members as part of their community projects recently donated dry rations, sanitary Items and packs of stationeries to the ‘Ape Lamai’ school for children with special skills at Ambepussa where those children are exposed to education techniques, designed specially for such children.

SLSR-SVU members who participated in the monthly committee meeting on 25 June 2022 joined this worthy cause.

Mrs Omila Jayawardena, Chairperson, SLSR-SVU joined the occasion as the Chief Guest who was received by Mrs. Nethmini Muthumala, Secretary SLSR SVU and the head at Ape Lamai’ special education school.

Later, all Seva Vanitha members joined in to provide a special lunch to all the children at ‘Ape Lamai’ special education school.

Expatriates, Mr Fernando Christege, Mr Joseph Sirimanna and Mr Fernando Veron Francesco who reside in Italy provided sponsorship for donation of 5 mattresses, cot sheets and linen to this school at the request of the SLSR-SVU at the same occasion.

Brigadier Nishantha Muthumala, Centre Commandant SLSR, SLSR-SVU Executive Committee members, SLSR-SVU members, Officers and few soldiers joined the charity project.
