The Sri Lanka Signal Corps Seva Vanitha Branch (SLSC-SVB) senior members, led by Mrs Sashika Herath, Chairperson, SLSC-SVB recently visited the ‘Abimansala-3’, wellness resort at Pangolla as the annual visit for the year 2022.
They were welcomed by Colonel Aruna Wijegunawardana, Commandant, ‘Abimansala-3’. The purpose of this visit was to uplift the spirits of those differently-able War Heroes and also to look into their well-being.
The wellness resort accommodates 35 differently-able officers and soldiers under rehabilitation and therapeutic care. During the visit, the inmates at the ‘Abimansala-3’ were entertained to snacks and tea. Gifts were also presented to all inmates at the same occasion. Furthermore, a donation of essential equipment was also made to the wellness resort.
Finally, all visitors joined a musical session with resident War Heroes who also sang and spent the evening.
