The Sri Lanka Artillery Regiment Seva Vanitha (SLA - SVB) ladies arranged a project to distribute 102 dry ration packs, each worth Rs 3000 among a selected group of civil employees serving under SLA establishments on Thursday (Dec 22) at the SLA Regimental HQ at Panagoda.
30 beneficiaries, out of a total of 102 earmarked recipients symbolically received their packs during a simple occasion at the Sri Lanka Artillery Regiment Regimental HQ. Mrs Chama Wanasinghe, Chairperson of SLA - SVB and Major General Sanjaya Wanasinghe, Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force and Colonel Commandant of SLA attended as Chief Guests.
This was made possible with the kind patronage received from a philanthropist to the value of Rs 306,000.00 through the coordination and initiative of the Chairperson, SLA - SVB. Senior members of SLA - SVB, several SLA Officers, Other Ranks and beneficiaries were present at the event.
