The Chairperson of the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment Seva Vanitha Branch, Mrs Kumudu Manage with SVB ladies made a visit to the Army Seva Vanitha Unit-managed ward at National Institute of Mental Health at Mulleriyawa on Sunday (Nov 27) at the request of Mrs Janaki Liyanage, President Army Seva Vanitha Unit.
The team cleaned the premises and the ward in the morning and delivered a mouth- watering lunch for resident patients. Around the same time, a donation of sanitary items, sponsored by the VIR Seva Vanitha Branch to the value of Rs. 30,000/= was made by Mrs Kumudu Manage.
Major W. S. S De Silva, Commanding Officer of the Regimental Headquarter Battalion and a team of several officers and other ranks attended the event.
