SLSC-SVB on Women’s Day Educates Spouses of All Ranks on Self-Employment

In parallel with the International Women’s Day, a home gardening and cookery workshop project was organized by the Sri Lanka Signal Corps-Seva Vanitha Branch (SLSC-SVB) on Tuesday (21 March) at the SLSC Regimental Centre auditorium on the directions and guidance of the SLSC-SVB Chairperson, Mrs. Nalini Rathnayake.

The event got underway with the participation of resource personnel from the Western Province Department of Agriculture.

The fruitful sessions benefitted more than 100 unemployed spouses of other ranks, belonging to Sri Lanka Signal Corps in providing opportunities to improve their economic conditions through self-employment. The spouses of other ranks, who are unable to participate in the workshop were also facilitated to raise their awareness through zoom technology.

Members of the SLSC-SVB also participated in the occasion.
