The Sri Lanka Armoured Corps Seva Vanitha Branch (SLAC - SVB) ladies, led by its Chairperson, Dr (Mrs) Harshini Bothota with the objective of looking into the well-being of dependent war heroes at ‘Abimansala - 3’, wellness resort at Pangolla visited the location on 22 October 2022.
Soon after their arrival, they were received by the Commandant, ‘Abimansala 3’. The day's agenda for ladies started with a visit to the wards at the location where 35 differently-able war heroes are living. Ladies offered delicious snacks and gift packs to each of those war heroes.
Towards the end of the project, all war heroes were entertained to a musical evening where those dependent war heroes also contributed and enjoyed the arrangement.
The programme was organized under the supervision of Lieutenant Colonel W.A.W.T. Sujith, Commanding Officer 5 SLAC.
Mrs Indika Bambaradeniya and District 306 C - 2 Lions Club sponsored the supply of gift packs.
