New Tailor Shop at 6 SLAC (RFT) Compound Opened

The 6 Sri Lanka Armoured Corps (RFT) coinciding with its 15 anniversary day declared open its newly-constructed Tailor Shop with the resources, made available by the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps (SLAC) Seva Vanitha Branch on 02 September.

The SLAC Seva Vanitha Branch gifted two sewing machines to the unit in order to support the launch of this much-wanted welfare need of all ranks. The funds collected by the new tailor shop are to be given to the SLAC Seva Vanitha Branch. The Commanding Officer, 6 SLAC-RFT as the Chief Guest cut a ribbon and opened the new tailoring unit in the premises at Morawewa.

6 SLAC (RFT) troops, Seva Vanitha team members and invitees also joined the event.

In addition, the donation of childcare items for pregnant wives of soldiers took place on the same day with SLAC Seva Vanitha members of the 6 SLAC (RFT).
