The newly-appointed Chairperson, Mechanized Infantry Regiment Seva Vanitha Branch (MIR - SVB), Mrs Senali Dulka Herath took over duties during a simple ceremony at the Officers' Mess complex at the MIR Regimental Centre at Dambuluhalmillewa on Saturday (10 June).
The Chairperson Mrs Senali Dulka Herath was welcomed by the Vice chairperson, Mrs Nilanthi Wanasinghe, the Secretary, Mrs Swarnamali Ekanayake and other senior members/ members.
The ceremony commenced by lighting the traditional oil lamp followed by the address of the new Chairperson, Vice chairperson and the Secretary. Further, the Year Plan, new projects and other matters related to MIR –SVB were briefly discussed during the occasion.
