The 14th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Mechanized Infantry Regiment Seva Vanitha Unit (MIR-SVU) got underway on 05 March 2022 at the Officers’ Mess of Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regimental Centre - Panagoda.
Mrs. Dhanusha Weerasuriya, Chairperson, MIR-SVU presided the meeting discussed welfare matters for the wellbeing of serving members and families of war heroes who made the supreme sacrifice.
The meeting reviewed past projects and discussed possibilities to initiate other most required, welfare activities for the betterment of the Regiment while supporting and strengthening the Regimental welfare roles separately. The Secretary, Mrs. Nilanthi Wanasinghe and other senior members along with more than 50 members were present at the event. Further, all members were offered a gift pack each to appreciate their participation.
During the meeting, all members listened to a motivational lecture, delivered by Mrs Ama Dissanayake. Chairperson awarded a memento to her and thanked her for her contribution.
