GR-SVB Chairperson Interacts with 'Abhimansala-1' War Heroes

The Chairperson of the Gajaba Regiment Seva Vanitha Branch and President, Army Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Janaki Liyanage recently paid a visit to the 'Abimansala-1' Wellness Center in Anuradhapura.

During her visit, Mrs. Janaki Liyanage had a cordial interaction with resident War Heroes and inquired into their wellbeing and the progress of the recuperation process. At this occasion the accompanying senior members had the opportunity to view handicrafts made by 24 inmates who are currently under the recuperation and rehabilitation there.

Afterwards the gift parcels with essential sanitary items were distributed among the inmates. In addition, 10 Water Bubbler Dispensers, worth about Rs 150,000/- were donated to the Abhimansala -1 for use of those differently able war heroes. These donations were made with the financial assistance received from the Gajaba Regiment Seva Vanitha Branch.

All visitors with handicapped War Heroes enjoyed tea at the 'Abimansala -1' premises. She penned a special note in the Visitors' Book at Abimansala -1 and took leave of those war veterans after the day's agenda. As a token of appreciation, Brigadier Kapila Chakrawarthi, Commandant presented a special memento to Mrs. Janaki Liyanage, GR-SVB Chairperson.

Brigadier Vishwajith Vidyananda, Center Commandant at Gajaba Regiment also joined the occasion.
