Major General Prasanna Gunaratne RSP ndu psc IG Commander Security Forces- EAST and the Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps conducted an official visit to the SLAWC battalions on 06, 07 and 08 January 2024.
The Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps visited the 3rd Volunteer Battalion SLAWC in Sandunpura, the 2nd Volunteer Battalion SLAWC in Madawachchiya and 7th Battalion SLAWC in Palali during his official schedule.
Respective Commanding Officers of the battalions welcomed the visiting Colonel Commandant with the honour according to the military traditions and briefed the functioning of the battalions and administratively.
Meantime, Major General Prasanna Gunaratne briefed his vision to the Commanding Officers and advice necessary instructions pertaining to the training, discipline, security concern and nations building for uplifting the battalions and maintaining the battalions standard in all aspects.
Brigadier Rohan Jayakody, Centre Commandant SLAWC, Colonel (A), Grade I, Grade II Staff Officers and Regimental Adjutant of RC SLAWC attended the visits.
