SRI LANKA ARMY WOMEN’S CORPS OFFICERS’ TRAINING DAY (SECOND QUATER)

Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps (SLAWC) Officers’ training day programme (Second Quarter) 2019 was organized under the supervision and guidance of the Colonel Commandant, Major General M Mudannayake RSP USP and the Centre Commandant, Major General R K B S Katekumbura RSP at the Regimental Centre, Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment, Boyagane on 05 July 2019.

The morning session of the training day programme was consisted of Physical Training, Sword Drill followed by a lecture on ‘Service Writing’. The Lady Officers were immensely benefitted by this lecture conducted by Lieutenant Colonel M M T Bandara USP psc, GSO I (Ops), 21 Division.

The evening session was commenced with a presentation done by Officers of 2nd (Volunteer) battalion of SLAWC on ‘Training of Sri Lanka Army in National Disaster Relief’

Officers’ training day programme was concluded by the significant lecture on ‘Coping and Managing Work and Home Stresses’ conducted by Dr. Lakshika Liyanage, Senior Lecturer (Grade II) of Kothalawela Defence University, at the ‘Salute’ reception hall of Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment.

It is noteworthy, the assistance extended by the Centre Commandant, Officers and other ranks of Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment, to make the 2nd quarter of the Officers’ training day programme of SLAWC a success.
