THE PASSING OUT PARADE 56 RECRUITS ENLISTED TO THE SRI LANKA ARMY WOMEN$S CORPS.

In conformity with military formalities, generally conducted in all military ceremonies elsewhere, 56 recruits enlisted to the 2(V), 3(V),5(V),6 (V) Battalions of Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps (SLAWC), passed out on 7th October 2014 during a colorful ceremony upon completion of their Six-month of long training period at the 3(V) Bn Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps Parade ground , Sandunpura. The ceremony, attended by the Commanding officer of the 2(V) Bn Sri Lanka Army Signal Corps (SLASC), Lieutenant Colonel, DNI Amarasinghe RSP as the Chief Guest, took place at the 3(V) SLAWC Parade ground with the participation of Senior Officers of the SLAWC, including Parents and Relatives of Soldiers. The Passing Out Parade (PoP), saluted the Chief Guest, in accordance with military traditions in the Guard of Honour, accorded to him after he reviewed the parade. Senior Officers took time off to speak to each and every parent of those new soldiers, attending the occasion and shared a couple of views and pleasantries with them.
